A man was on an elevator with Billy Graham and recognized him and said, “You’re Billy Graham, aren’t you?”
“Yes,” Reverend Graham answered.
“Well.” The man said, “you are truly a great man.”
Mr. Graham immediately responded, “No, I’m not a great man. I just have a great message.”
We do have a great message and serve a great God! How amazing it is that God has chosen us to get this message out to others. In Romans 10, Paul in quoting Isaiah, writes, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news?” Have you experienced recently the beauty of sharing the good news? Are you fervently and boldly praying for those who are sharing this great message with others? Specifically, here is how you can pray for our missionaries working with our adopted Iski people in Papua New Guinea.
– that the Iski people will continue to grow as Christians, and that they will be able to overcome their beliefs in and their fears of sorcery and spells.
– for the health of Seth and Rochelle Callahan, and of their boys Manny, Tucker and Griffin.
– that the missionaries of the Iski people would continue to learn the spoken and written Iski language, which is a very difficult language to learn.
– for Rochelle as she home-schools the boys.
Are you excited for EBC’s next Missions Conference?
We are planning our next conference for the Winter/Spring of 2019. A Save the Date announcement will be coming in the next few months. We are praying that the entire church family will be involved as our missionaries work to Inspire, Enlighten, Encourage and Enlist us to fulfill the Great Commission.
The Great Commission:
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
