Another Pastoral Epistle 4/24/19

Pastor Brian is enjoying a well deserved and much needed vacation this week. I encourage you to pray for the Greens this week, that their time of rest and refreshment may indeed prove to be restful and refreshing.

This Sunday our sermon will focus on Psalm 23. I would like you to try a simple meditative reading practice in preparation for our time together. Set aside 10-15 minuets of time to read through Psalm 23. Start with verse 1 and continue until a word or a phrase jumps out to grab your attention, then prayerfully meditate on that word or phrase. Ask the Lord questions like, “Why did you make this stand out to me?”, “What do you want me to know about you or myself from this?”, “How am I to respond to this?” It can be tempting to flit right past a single word or phrase in favor of reading the entire Psalm, but there is great value in slowing down to focus on something as simple as a single word. When I first tried this about 3 years ago, I got no further than, “I shall not want”, and that turned out to be a watershed moment in my life. By spending 10-15 minuets in Psalm 23 you will prime the pump of your heart to receive the living water God will provide for us in our time together.

Grace and peace,

Pastor Dan

Meals Needed for On Goal Soccer Camp coaches

It looks as though Spring has finally arrived. The snow has melted, and the field at Leavitt Park will soon be ready. This year we have approximately 15 coaches traveling to Laconia. They combine their passion for soccer with their love for Jesus Christ in this amazing ministry.

As a church community we are asked to pray for, house and feed these young disciples.
We have two online meal train sign-ups available. One for lunch and one for dinner. If you are interested in signing up to provide a meal, please click this link.

Scroll down to the bottom and click “Volunteer” button and fill out the form. Betsy Weller, the On Goal Coaches Meals Coordinator, will follow up with you!

We will also have information and sign ups after both services on May 19.
